Job and Firm Description:
Kennaday Leavitt PC, a leading healthcare law firm in California, is looking for a transactional associate to bolster its ever-expanding practice. Kennaday Leavitt has decades of experience in healthcare matters both at the state and federal level, representing health plans and other healthcare payors in contracting and transactional matters.
Kennaday Leavitt is looking for self-motivated attorneys who are ready for the opportunity to collaborate with our recognized experts, take on responsibility over transactional matters, and build their skillset and knowledge bases. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of matters involving our clients’ needs, including researching areas of inquiry, drafting memoranda, advising on regulatory matters and legislative impacts to our clients’ operations.

Kennaday Leavitt firmly believes that we can provide top-notch legal services to blue chip clients while not just paying lip service to a work/life balance for our attorneys. We pride ourselves on providing a flexible, positive work environment. That includes a minimum billable requirement of just 1,400 hours and the ability for qualifying candidates to work remotely and set their own schedules (as client demands allow). Successful candidates can expect autonomy over their work and ample client contact, as well as weekly mentorship from our partners and senior counsel so candidates continue to develop and progress.
Location:
Kennaday Leavitt maintains an office in downtown Sacramento, and its attorneys work up and down the West Coast.
Compensation:
The base salary range is $120,000-$180,000 for a full-time associate, depending on qualifications and experience, and Kennaday Leavitt's attorneys are additionally eligible for generous, performance-based bonuses as they exceed the minimum billable amount. Kennaday Leavitt's benefits are also comprehensive, including health, vision, and dental insurance and 401k contributions.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be active members of the California bar in good standing and have 1-8 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants must demonstrate a quick analytical ability and be able to accurately and precisely articulate the critical issues in a case. Applicants must demonstrate superior oral and writing skills, as well as strong research and interpersonal skills and good judgment. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills and exhibit the ability to work in a supportive and professional manner with clients, other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Applicants must demonstrate the capacity to function, with minimal guidance, in a demanding environment. Applicants will be expected to do their own legal research and writing.
