KLO Welcomes Troy Szabo

Kennaday Leavitt Owensby is pleased to announce that Troy R. Szabo has joined its Health Care practice group as a partner. With over 15 years’ experience in health care law, Troy's practice focuses on government and commercial contracting, state and federal regulatory compliance, litigation, administrative law and licensing of new plans and products in California.

Before joining Kennaday Leavitt Owensby, Troy was a founder and partner of a local health care firm and Director of Regulatory and State Programs Policy for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan. While at Kaiser, Troy was responsible for the implementation of system-wide regulatory changes and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders. Before that, Troy worked as Enforcement and Licensing counsel at the California Department of Managed Health Care, the nation’s only independent HMO regulator. In those roles, Troy was responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal laws regulating HMOs and other managed care organizations.
