KLO Obtains Summary Judgment in Retaliation and Wrongful Termination Case
On May 17, 2017, KLO attorneys Jeff Owensby and Warren Hodges obtained summary judgment on behalf of Sutter Roseville Medical Center. The plaintiff claimed that she was retaliated against for seeking a medical leave of absence and was wrongfully terminated in violation of public policy. The Court found that the lawsuit was appropriately decided in Sutter’s favor without the need for a jury trial because the plaintiff had not complained of unlawful activity or sought a medical leave of absence until after her employer decided to terminate her employment. Jeff and Warren are very proud of the privilege to represent the Sutter organization in employment-related matters.
