Kennaday Leavitt Owensby Files Amicus Curiae on Behalf of Two California Healthcare Associations

KLO healthcare attorneys Curtis Leavitt and Jack Janov recently filed an amicus curiae (“friend of the Court") brief with the California Court of Appeal on behalf of its clients, the California Association of Health Plans (CAHP) and California Association of Physician Groups (CAPG) in Sanjiv Goel M.D. v. Regal Medical Group. The dispute concerns the appropriate payment amounts owed to an out-of-network emergency provider under quantum meruit theories of recovery.
