Kennaday Leavitt Welcomes Jim Novello to Its Health Care Law Practice

Kennaday Leavitt is pleased to announce that Jim Novello has joined its Health Care Law practice group as a Partner. With over 20 years’ experience in health care law, Jim’s practice focuses on government and commercial contracting, state and federal regulatory compliance, litigation, administrative law and mergers and acquisitions for health care entities.

Before joining Kennaday Leavitt, Jim was Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Molina Healthcare, Inc., one of the Nation’s largest managed care organizations. At Molina, Jim led the company’s efforts to expand the Medicaid Managed Care and Healthcare Exchange business lines into numerous states.

Before moving in-house, Jim led the California Department of Managed Healthcare’s Enforcement Division, the nation’s only independent HMO regulator. As the Department’s Chief Prosecutor, Jim was responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal laws regulating HMOs and other managed care organizations.
