BIOGRAPHY
Dane Willis is an associate specializing in healthcare and employment litigation. He represents health care payors in contracted and non-contracted provider disputes, regulatory actions against state agencies, and health insurance fraud cases. He also represents employers in a wide variety of employment-related disputes, including discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination cases, as well as wage and hour matters.
Dane has experience in civil litigation, including drafting pleading and discovery, motion practice, trial and arbitration preparation, trial motion practice, and trial.
Before joining Kennaday Leavitt as an associate, Dane clerked for the firm during law school. As a law clerk, Dane assisted the firm's attorneys by reviewing discovery and researching case law for legal briefs, arbitration hearings and trials. Dane also has a wide range of clerking experiences with other local health care and employment firms, as well as the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office. These experiences facilitated Dane's development of valuable real-world legal counseling and litigation skills in health care, employment, and regulatory contexts.
